Date1880s - PresentLocationSummer HouseDescriptionThe Summer House seems to have appeared when the Hesketh House was enlarged and gentrified between 1884 and 1892.
There have been a few alterations that have occurred over the years such as the removal of the doors and windows in the 1950s and the replacement of the rotten Kauri floor with a concrete slab in 1964. In 2004 it was re-placed on fibreglass and solid panels emplaced inside the gables to seal the star shaped cut-outs and keep weather out of its roof cavity.
As of 2024, it is still standing and is still used in photo shoots and the heritage trail.
