A devout Churchwoman, scholar, writer, artist, dramatist, architect, educator and devout Anglican, Miss Pulling was the visionary founding Headmistress who left England to come out to New Zealand keen that young women half a world away should benefit from a modern faith-led education.
In 1930 after a few years in retirement, she relocated to Cambridge and became a religious anchoress, available for prayer and wise counsel.
Born and educated in England, Miss Pulling died in the Waikato in March 1951. She is buried in Purewa cemetery with the Anglican Sisters of the Good Shepherd.
